On August 9, 2019, Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker signed the Workplace Transparency Act (the “WTA”) into law. The Act applies to nearly every employer in Illinois. Employers who do not comply with the law will be subject to civil penalties. Hybrid Academy offers a sexual harassment training course, which is compliant with the Illinois Workplace Transparency Act.
Our training is designed to be engaging, with real-life examples of sexual harassment cases litigated in the State of Illinois. Additional training is also available for management-level employees to better understand their duties and obligations under the law. Following the class, attendees are given a post-test to demonstrate their knowledge and, upon completion, are provided with certificates of attendance.
This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the concept of sexual harassment in a workplace and its consequences for individuals, the organization, and the community.
The course provides guidelines on how to comply with legal requirements and describes the roles and responsibilities of the employer and employees related to sexual harassment prevention, mitigation, and investigation.
New employees receive sexual harassment training within 90 days of hire.
Requires annual sexual harassment training for all employees.
Directs employers to report settlements and adverse judgments to the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
Restricts an employer's ability to require mandatory arbitration of sexual harassment or other discrimination claims.
Restaurants and bars are required to provide specialized training and sexual harassment policies.
